A new on water race featuring Thundercats has been announced for Salt Beach for weekend of 8 – 9 May 2010.
Brisbane Coast Thundercats will be racing at Salt Beach with times of approximately 9.00am – 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
The thrilling Thundercats are a high speed inflatable boat capable of speeds up to 100 km/hour in flat water. The crew consists of a pilot who steers the boat and a co-pilot who adjusts the trim of the boat and assists in cornering.
This year the Thundercats will also race in the surf and in long haul events (distances of up to 300km) with events being held on the Gold Coast, Kingscliff, Port Macquarie, Redcliffe and Sawtell.
