SWF TERMS & CONDITIONS / CODE OF CONDUCT/ COMPETITION GUIDELINES

The code of conduct and terms and conditions of competition entry of The Saltwater Festival (SWF) are always subject to change and it is a SWF competitors duty to be aware of any changes made at all times.

Breaking of the laws set out by QLD, NSW and Australian government and police are always to be upheld and prosecution may follow if these laws are breached.

Each competitors' fees must be paid in full before that competitor can start competing.

A competitor is considered registered upon approval by SWF management only.

A competitor is to provide their own insurance to be covered by insurance and all terms and conditions are to be met by the competitor and he or she waivers all insurance claims and litigation against any SWF representative.

All competitors agree to abide by competition indemnity once they nominate for competition

All competitors agree to register before start of play of each SWF event

The conduct of all competitors and spectators must at all times be exemplary as you represent SWF whilst playing or spectating at any location the event may be in.  Suspension or expulsion from SWF events will be administered if the Code of Conduct & Conditions are not followed.

If conditions are too dangerous for competition, the event may be cancelled or postponed at SWF discretion. 

Competitor fees are not refundable.

Non Payment will result in legal action.

SWF management reserves the right to accept or reject any nomination of competitors or teams into its competition.

SWF reserves the right to expel for any reason teams or individuals from competition for any length of time at all times solely at managements discretion.

Competition information and competitor registration may be used for promotional services at SWF Management’s discretion.

SWF reserves the exclusive right to use any film video or for promotional use, services or sale, no persons or party's are allowed to film or record any registered competitors without the express written permission of SWF and may face legal action if the stated terms are breached.

Teams or competitors may not advertise or distribute on flyers, shirts or other promotional material, businesses, signage without the express permission of SWF management.

At times it may be difficult for an official or referee to determine the cause of a dispute, but it is their responsibility to attempt to do so to the best of their ability. When unable to do so the competition’s senior officials will assess the extent and nature of any misconduct and can issue penalties to the full extent of the law. This could include immediate expulsion from any or all SWF Competitions for between one (1) week to life with possible legal action taken in reference to the law. Managements decisions are final.

Any competitor intoxicated by alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate in any games for a minimum 24 hour period.  Repeated infringement could mean expulsion from all SWF Events

SWF believes in equal rights and will not condone racial, sexual or religious harassment of referees, staff and officials, competitors or spectators.

SWF Management reserve the right to deny participation or entry into any of our competitions or to expel from our competitions any person as management see fit.

Competitors choose to participate in SWF competitions, games and events solely at their own risk and of their own free will. Competitors agree to indemnify and waiver all insurance or litigation against the organisers, SWF , all sponsors and officials against any and all claims arising and that may arise from their participation in these competitions, games and events. Competitors agree to abide by the rules as determined by the organisers. Competitors further warrant that they are in a fit state of health to participate and if any doubt will undergo a physical examination by their own doctors prior to competiting.

COMPETITION GUIDE LINES

SWF has the right to refuse entry or reject any participant, player or team from competition for any reason they see fit under our terms and conditions of entry, once you nominate for any SWF competition.

  • SWF has the right to refuse or suspended any person, team or player from competition at any time
  • You must be a minimum of 14 years of age to take part in SWF Senior competitions but this is at SWF management discretion.
  • Registration & deposits fees are non refundable under our terms of entry
  • All participants must be registered with SWF management as a competitor. If you are not, you are in breach of our terms and conditions. You must be a registered SWF participant and in some sports categories have signed on to be allowed to play and be covered by insurance.
  • Some SWF sports have a player a minimum and you must abide by all SWF affiliate organisations / hosts terms and rules of that sporting competition.
  • Abuse by players and spectators to referee's, players, spectators and officials is not accepted in any form at an SWF event. Abuse from competitors will result in suspension.
  • Disputes are to be lodged in written form within 15 minutes of that race or games completion and handed to the referee administrator.
  • Registration fees are to be paid in full prior to competition; non financial participants will be expelled from all SWF competitions.
  • All competitors are to be aware of SWF terms and conditions and code of conduct.

  • SWF has to follow directives from the council on any matters with use of facilities, beach and playing fields; SWF does not own or maintain any venues that SWF uses for competitions or training.
  • It is your responsibility to be aware of our insurance requirements.
  • THESE RULES ARE A GUIDE AND IT IS A PARTICIPANTS  RESPONSABILITY TO BE AWARE OF ALL SWF TERMS AND CONDITIONS AT ALL TIMES

 

COMPLAINTS

Referee and general complaints can only be made to SWF management in writing only. 
Refer any competition complaints or requests to the Competition Coordinator in writing only and submitted 15 minutes after the competition completion. All general complaints should be sent to PO Box 3738 Robina TC 4320, QLD.
